The family of a young man who died after he was shot on Friday night by Lae Police are demanding an explanation from the police department.
Twenty two year old, Cedric Yafai, from Yangoru in the East Sepik Province, who was accused of rape, was shot in the knee by a policeman outside the home of a relative in full view of his family members.
He is understood to have died from loss of blood after he was taken to Lae's Angau hospital.
