EMTV has won exclusive rights to be the official broadcaster of the 6th PNG games in November in Lae.
More than 2 million kina worth of state of state of the art equipment has been acquired to broadcast the games live to millions of Papua New Guineans.
EMTV’s Chief Executive Bhanu Sud and PNG games Chairman, Phill Franklin, signed off on the deal today in Lae.
The BSP PNG Games committee is working towards the November deadline at an excited pace.
At midday in a joint conference, the Games committee and EMTV announced EMTV's contribution as the official broadcaster. The deal was signed by EMTV's Cheif Executive Officer, Bhanu Sud, and Games Chairman, Phill Franklin.
“In terms of venues, that has been completed… we have about 22 venues stretched across fourteen different areas of town,” Phill Franklin, Games Chairman said.
The PNG Games has humble beginnings as the grassroots games. It later became one of the main venues for the identification of raw talents for the Pacific, Common Wealth and Olympic Games.
In November nearly 10, 000 people from 19 provinces will arrive in Lae, It will be one of the biggest events this year outside the Morobe show. EMTV will be broadcasting from primary venues from two hours a day with assistance from Telikom as a broadcast partner.
