Defending Champions of the 2015 Southern Region Nines Tournament, Rovanama, is coming back strong to defend its title.
Head Coach, Chris Erava, said the boys have proved too strong on the first three days of the competition making their way up to the semis.
Tomorrow the boys will be fighting back on the field, getting their toughest warriors to guard the gate.
Proving to be one of the strongest in the competition since the inception of the tournament in 2003; it was from this team that former SP Hunter, Lawrence Tu was produced.
While missing the presence of Tu, the team has been striding, winning seven titles of the last thirteen tournaments held in the country.
Enara said, “maintaining the win is one thing, win or lose the team in humbled to show great sportsmanship.”
Many of the young men in the team come from different areas around the region, mainly from the Central Province.
Coach Enara said playing in a world class facility is a game changer for the boys in terms of future opportunities that can arise from showcasing their talents.
