Covenant Plaque Laid in Talga Western Highlands Province

by Jack Lapauve Jr – EM TV News, Port Moresby

The small place of Talga in the Tambul Nebilya District of Western Highlands is now a sacred site for Christians in the country.

Recently, a rally organised by the Move of God Ministry placed a plaque from Israel to signify the covenant, signed by the PNG Government.

Biblically, the message is to let God be in every household.

Many say the spirit of God has moved people to realise the true spirit of sharing his word among all mankind.

The meet was a biblical resemblance of placing the word of God to realise the oneness in God.

Guest speaker, Michael Maeleau from Solomon Islands told those gathered that it is time for PNG to rise up and be the light. His words of prophecy struck many who broke down in tears and were moved.

A symbolic prayer was recited, before the plaque was carried to a site to be laid.

The plaque signifies the Signing of the Covenant in August 2007 by the Government and better understanding by the Governors of the 6 Highlands provinces.

Christians from all over the highlands region attended the program.

A rally was held following the laying down of the plaque at Talga Village
