The 2013 Judge’s Report was presented to Governor General, Sir Michael Ogio, by Chief Justice Sir Salamo Injia this morning, at Government House.
Sir Injia says “the report is different from other years, however specific details of the report were not disclosed….it is a privileged report”, he said.
The Judge’s Report is a requirement of the Government, and is the Chief Justice’s report of the legal year, that gives information of both the Supreme Court and National courts’ performances.
Injia made it clear that the report will be made a public document after parliament debates it’s contents. Governor General, Sir Michael Ogio, will hand-over the report to parliament Speaker, Theo Zurenuoc, for parliament debate.
He says, the report is finally out after the court’s upgraded its technology.
The report was due in August last year after delays in its preparation.
Injia is adamant the 2014 Judge’s Report will be compiled and released on time this year, 2015.
