People from Pari Village inthe Moresby South Electorate joined inthe world-wide Christmas celebrations intheir own unique way.
Theirs was a coming togther ofthe people and giving praise to God for the gift of His Son to all man-kind.
Arranged in different colours, Beboro Clan in Yellow, Laurina-Laurina Vahoi Clan in Red andthe host clan Mimi in Beue,the village was filled with singing and dancing asthe clans gthered for the Christmas Daycelebrations.
Withthe roots ofthe United Church tracing back tothe London Missionary Society, it was nothing short of captivating, as men, women, and children’sang Peroverta or prophet hymns and joined in dance.
The Peroverta singing went on all day, withthe host clan tasked to feedthe singing clans.
The festive season at Pari Village was reportedly peaceful asthe village also prepares for more joyous activities onthe New Year.
