Sam Burgess has left the English Rugby Club Bath to return to the rugby league club South Sydney Rabbitohs.
The 26 year old, had two years left on his three year deal with Bath. But will now head back to Australia to play in the NRL with his former club, South Sydney.
There has been an agreement with a transfer fee to see Burgess return to the NRL, where he will join his brothers George and Tom, who signed three year contract extensions at the Rabbitohs.
Burgess was part of the England squad, as the host nation that didn’t perform to expectation, being knocked out in the group stages.
He had exciting news for South Sydney fans, claiming that during his time spent in rugby has made him a better footballer and athlete.
