Beckhams Arrives In Mt Hagen

World Football Superstar, David Beckham, arrived in Mt Hagen this afternoon amidst much fanfare and greeted by Minister for Sport, Justin Tkatchenko.

In Mt.Hagen, he was also invited to meet with members of the PNG Football Association, including President David Chung, as well as other state dignitaries.

Beckham is in the country as part of his role as a United Nations goodwill ambassador, and was brought in under the Unicef Program being run in Papua New Guinea.

The former England captain played 115 times for his country and has enjoyed success at Manchester United, Real Madrid, Paris St Germain and the LA Galaxy.

Due to security concerns and the media frenzy that accompanies him, his travel itinerary has not been released publicly and it is not known when he departs the country as yet.
