The Hebou PNG Barramundis sealed their victory with 199 runs today, at Amini Park, here in the nation’s capital.
Their opponent, Namibia, was all out for 155 on the 61st over.
The four day series saw the Barramundis work together to bring the victory home.
After winning the toss on Sunday, Skipper Assad Vala elected to bat first.
A bumpy start as the Namibians attacks cost the home side their top order batsmen.
The Barramundis were treading on dangerous grounds by lunch time with 3/68.
However, Vala’s running streak continued on to secure 134 runs for the Barramundis and a century for himself.
The first Innings concluded on Monday, with the Barramundis, all out for 311 after 96 overs.
The second innings saw the Namibians chasing 311.
By the end of day 2, Namibia was trailing Barramundis by 165 runs.
Namibia Captain Sarel Burger’s healthy 57 runs were not enough to improve their chase.
By yesterday afternoon, the Namibians lost their top order in only 2 overs with the Barramundis, a great chase away. And moments later were 8/95.
Today they tried to recoup the score line but were all out for 155 on just the 61st over.
