Motu Koita Rugby Violence

During the Motu Koita Rugby League 9s Tournament, last weekend, an unfortunate turn of events transpired during the match between Poreporena Bothers and Poreporena Diho.

Motu Koita Rugby League President echoed statements made by Sports Minister Justin Tkatchenko and others on zero tolerance to violence in sports.

Teams, Poreporena Diho and Poreporena Brothers, got into a fight during the finals, after a Poreporena Diho try scorer was kicked in the face.

At the start of the competition, President Pipi Dai Boe’s announcement of zero tolerance on violence during the course of the tournament was made clear.

He said personal development will be encouraged in the Motu Koita League, in order to address sports violence.

This kind of behaviour may now limit their chances in having a team in the Intercity Cup Competition.
