Bougainville to host 8th New Guinea Islands Regional Nurses Christian Fellowship

The Autonomous Region of Bougainville is hosting the 8th New Guinea Islands Regional Nurses Christian Fellowship.

The fellowship, held under the theme: ‘Partnership with the Holy Spirit, Compassion the Cornerstone of Care’ has united nurses from the New Guinea Islands provinces with the Autonomous Region of Bougainville, is held in Buka, the capital of Papua New Guinea’s autonomous region.

These nurses are from East and West New Britain, New Ireland, Manus, New Ireland including the hosts, the Autonomous Region of Bougainville.

This morning, all the nurses marched to the Bel Isi Park, with the message of how important nursing is in the medical sector.

The nurses in Bougainville also paid homage to retired nurses of the autonomous region, who for the last time joined them in this important gathering.

Among them was Agatha Terra Sahoto from Ketskets Village in the Halia Constituency of Buka.
