Hunters Side Named for Jets Clash

Timothy Lomai has been omitted from the SP PNG Hunters side for this weekend’s clash against defending premiers the Ipswich Jets. Lomai’s omission due to injury sees Brandy Peter take on the role as lock.

Coach, Michael Marum, has named a relatively unchanged line up from last weekend’s big win against the Easts Tigers.

Watson Boas and Henry Wan, who missed last week’s clash due to injury concerns, have been named in an extended 20-man squad.

Tuvi Lepan has also been named for this weekend’s clash, with three players to be omitted.

Wartovo Puara starts again in the halfback position after putting on an outstanding performance last week.

This sees Warren Glare start at hooker with Sailas Gahuna on the interchange bench.

Both players were critical at hooker, with Glare getting a try and Gahuna with his fast line breaks after coming off the bench.

Co-captain Adam Korave and Brandy Peter will play their 50th Intrust Super Cup matches this weekend.

Kick off at the National Football Stadium in Port Moresby on Saturday will be at 4pm.
