Morobe Provincial Administrator on DSIP

Councillors of Lae Urban Local Level Government are still waiting for DSIP funds to reach them, so they can carry out development plans in their wards.

The delay in DSIP funds is affecting their delivery of services to their wards.

Lae District Development Authority has approved their projects in 2014 but no funding was received.

Morobe Provincial Administrator, Masayan Moat, says DSIP is still not being made available to help ward councillors carry out their services.

The funding delays are also affecting other eight districts of Morobe.

He said the K1 million from the K10 million DSIP Fund was given to Team Morobe for the seventh PNG Games this November in Kimbe.

Development plans for the six wards in Lae District are still beinghalted due to the unavailability of DSIP funds.
