Young Skills Training Program Certifies more than 100 Participants

by Colleen Barilae – EM TV, Lae

A financial literacy Training by Ginigoada Bisnis Development Foundation held in Lae last week has ended today.

The Young Skills Training Program has given more than 100 participants the opportunity to take part in skills training aimed at enhancing people’s livelihoods in communities.

The 9-day workshop saw 111 females and 83 males altogether successfully receiving their certificates in Young Skills at Lae’s West Taraka community.

Lae Program Coordinator, Robert Favave, says the workshop is designed to give people second chances to become successful in their own communities and at the same time alleviating crime rates in the city.

The 100 plus graduates have been provided pre-employment opportunities through the workshop.
