The Opposition will still push forward the vote of no confidence against Prime Minister, Peter O’Neill.
Deputy Opposition leader, Sam Basil, said the move is aimed at changing the Prime Minister.
Mr Basil has urged government MP’s and backbenchers not to be ignorant and support the Opposition’s call.
Mr Basil said a record number of MP’s including the Prime Minister have been referred by the Ombudsman Commission for investigations.
He said O’Neill has a pending bench warrant against him. His involvement in the payment of millions of Kina to Paul Paraka lawyers, the UBS-Oil Search deal, the payment of two turbine generators from Israel and many other issues including the current transfer of a stevedoring company in Lae to a foreign company are issues that were poorly managed.
Parliament will resume on Tuesday, 27 October, and the Backbenchers are urged to support the Opposition’s call.
Basil said the move is intended to remove Peter O’Neill and calls on backbenchers to support the motion.
Currently, the government claims that they are intact and the vote of no confidence will not be successful.
