The Pacific Balanced Fund (PBF) has jumped on board to support the Pacific Islands Pageant.
The company has sponsored a contestant, Abigail Havora, as Miss Pacific Balanced Fund.
Amount its purposes the pageant also aims to garner exposure for Pacific nations, bringing publicity to the region and its many tourist attractions.
Havora, from a mixed parentage of Gulf and Central Provinces, is a strong contender in the Miss Pacific Islands Pageant PNG.
Abigail holds a Bachelors Degree in Science from the University of Papua New Guinea and is currently employed by Oil Search Limited under its Graduate Development Program in the engineering section.
Vice President of the Pageant Committee, Molly O’Rourke, thanked the sponsor Pacific Balanced Fund for its support in helping to assist empower young women through education.
Yesterday, Bank South Pacific announced its contestant Samantha Vulum. Miss Pacific Balanced Fund, Abigail Havora, is the second contestant to be announced.
A total of six contestants have been confirmed to participate in this year’s pageant.
The Crowning Ball of the Pageant will be held on November 14 at the Crowne Plaza in Port Moresby.
The winner will represent PNG at the Miss Pacific Islands Pageant in Rarotonga, Cook Islands in December.
