Affordable Price Call for PNG Air Customers

By Fabian Hakalits – EM TV News, Wewak

Rebranded airline company PNG Air will continue to provide affordable prices to the travelling public.

Chief Commercial Officer, Paul Abbot, told EMTV News that the price positioning will be constant.

Abbot was responding to questions raised by a local, Maggie Buit of Sepik Province who said that the airline industry’s growth in Papua New Guinea has created competition in the market for airliners operating within the country.

She said while the competition gets tough, airline companies operating in the country need to decrease their airfares.

This is to allow locals to travel around the country and also to see different areas, as a domestic tourist.

Abbot said the inclusion of the new ATR 72-600 aircraft into the PNG Air fleet will not change airfare costs.

The company’s vision is to provide service to the people of this nation at affordable prices.
