PM’s XIII: Segeyaro to Play Against Home Country PNG

by Raphaella Kaore – EM TV Sports, Port Moresby

Segeyaro will be wearing the Green and Gold to play in front of thousands at the Prime Minister’s XIII tomorrow at the Sir John Guise stadium.

As he feels more and more questions are about his loyalty, Segeyaro says he has made his decision not to play for PNG.

Segeyaro, a Penrith Panthers star, will play for Australian kangaroos PM’s XIII side.

Segeyaro who hails from the Eastern Highlands and Kokopo East New Britain, says it’s a  dream come true to pull on the green and gold jumper and he’s proud to wear the Green and Gold.

After being welcomed yesterday by fans and family at the airport he said he is excited to play in front of his home crowd; and although he’ll be rubbing shoulders against the PNG Kumuls, it won’t be an issue.

In a bold statement in front of the media, Segeyaro dropped the bomb “he will no longer wear the red, black and gold in his NRL career.”

Segeyaro said he is satisfied with his decision to play for the Australian Kangaroos and it is something he will look back to over the years with no regrets.

And with the games tomorrow, James is looking forward for a great match against the PNG Kumuls.
