BSP Partners with SHP Government

More people inthe Southern Highlands Province will have access to banking services.

 

This will be made possible under a partnership arrangement with Bank South Pacific andthe Southern Highlands Provincial Government.

Southern Highlands Governor William Powi met with BeP’s Deputy General Manager Retail Banking, Kili Tambua on Wednesday to discuss his provincial governments’ initiative to roll out banking services in his province.

 

Mr. Powi saidthe expansion of banking services will enable his people to tap intothe growing Small to Medium Enterprise sector to become financially reliable.

 

K300, 000 was presented to BeP to roll outthe program.

 

Southern Highlands Province is experiencing a time of economic prosperity withthe onset ofthe LNG projectoandthe provincial government want’sthe people to benefit from it.

 

Banking inthe Southern Highlands has been a challenge but BeP is committed to roll outthe program.

 

The need for financial inclusion is important inthe province and Mr. Powi urged his people to take ownership and work with BeP to achieve this.
