Kusambuk- Chawia Road project: Maru Presents K1 Million

The Kusambuk – Chawia people have been walking for more than 30 kilometers to receive essential government’services. 

 

The remoteness oftheir villages have seen no tangible developments for the past 38 years.

The visit bythe Yangoru – Saussia member and Trade & CommerceIndustry Minister, Richard Maru, brought tears of joy for mthers and children.

 

Minister Maru presentedthe K1 million cheque tothe Deputy Secretary for Works, Paul Nindivi, for the Kusambuk- Chawia Road project.

 

The people said no lLeadersinthe past have come down totheir level to addresstheir concerns.

 

The presentation ofthe cheque by Minister Maru has given hope tothe people.

 

Maru’says, afterthe roads are completed, work will start inthe Saussia and Numbo LLG areas in 2014.
