F6 Tech: New device to reduce road accidents

A new product introduced by Digicel can now help reducethe number of accidents onthe road.

The F6 Tech is a device installed in vehicles which sends accident alerts and provides crash detection. The product targets fleet operators and helps reduce operating costs.

Although fleet tracking is already used in PNG what’s new tothe industry is that this product offers crash detection and allows improverment in driver behavior.

This product is also a way forward to help recover stolen vehicles if those stolen have this device installed.

Kevin Tololo fromtheLands department said it is great product and encouraged government departments to considerthe product.

The F6 Tech will hitthe market on March 15 and price for installation is K750 and a monthly fee of K150 is required.

&nbspIn 2012 alonethere were more than three hundred deaths and over four thousand injuries related to vehicle accident inthe country.

This new technology can help reducethe number of deaths onthe road.
