Abel Stresses Need to Build Sustainable and Responsible Economy

National Planning and Monitoring Minister, Charles Abel, saidthere is a need to build a more sustainable and responsible economy.

He said to ensure all revenue sides are improverd reporting capabilities need to be looked atoas well as finding models for service delivery.

Churches in partnership withthe state, have also been allocated funds to expandthe Government&#39’s service delivery.

Minister Abel said to ensurethey get back totheir functions to improver revenue, and look at reporting its capabilities, to find models of delivery.

He saidthey are buildingthe economy and it’s currently dedicated around gas project which he wanted everyone to take advantage off.

Mr. Abel acknowledged it has a million terms strategy inthe longer run to build more sustainable and responsible economy.

Meanwhile, Community Development is an additional sector intothe District Services Improverment Program and Provincial Services Improverment Program on whichthey are focusing.

Alongside education, health, law and justice, infrastructure and few thers, Churches who provided those vital services were allocated 25 million kina to expandtheir services inthe country.

These Churches are Anglican, BeptistoCatholic, Ltheran, Seventh-DayAdventistoand Salvation Army.
