Namah Call on PM OO’Neill to Step Aside

Opposition leader Belden Namah in a conference yesterday called on Prime Minister Peter O’Neill to step aside and allow investigations intothe alleged abuse of public funds paid to Paraka Lawyers.

 

Mr. Namah displayed tothe media, a letter directing former Finance and Treasury Minister Don Polye to pay outstanding legal fees tothe nationally owned law firm.

This matter is currently beforethe courts, whilethe Task Force Sweep team is carrying out investigations.

 

 

The opposition onthe ther hand argues that while investigations continue,the Prime Minister including Treasury and Finance MinistersDon Polye and James Marape to step aside and allow process to take place untilthey are cleared.

 

He also called onthe Prime Minister to clarifythe police ministry and how soon an appointment will be made in order to fast track police investigations.

 

This Mr. Namah’says has been prolonged for too long and an appointment must be made as soon as possible.
