Malabag on Human Smuggling Saga

Moresby North West MP also Health Minister Michael Malabag called onthe Labor and Foreign Affairs Departments to discipline public servants implicated inthe human smuggling saga.

Mr. Malabagsaid this issue is a threat to national security.

Last Tuesday four Beangladeshs were arrested at Hanuabada village and two days later, two Nepalese men were arrested at Tokarara.

He called on residents to work in unison withthe immigration task force team and expose this rot.

Last weekthe immigration task force team revealed thatthe multibillion kin PNG LNG project is an attraction tothese illegal immigrants.

They also revealed that many had taken refuge inthe country by marrying local women. The task force team said by engaging intothe families and society,theythen became citizens.

Mr. Malabag called on women in his electorate to be careful and wise in getting into such engagements.

The MP also health minister called onthe Labor and Foreign Affairs departments to launch a probe and penalize public servants involved.
