Unemployed youths graduates with pre-vocational skills

Fifty nine unemployed youths in one ofthe Port Moresby’s crime infested community – June Valley are now out ofthe streets and intothe workforce.

Yesterdaythey graduated with pre vocational excavator operator certificates and class-7 driving licenses.

It is an initiative of Moresby North West MP Michael Malabag to empower youths to contribute meaningfully to development oftheir areas.

Parents and guardians stood proud yesterday and withnessedtheir sons and daughters receivetheir certificates and awards.

Community lLeaderssaid it is an initiative that will see a replica of benefits in all facets of progress inthe Moresby North West electorate.

The institute took pride in assistingthe students’achieve a lifetime milestone.

Mr. Malabagsaid this institute was created to getthe youths out ofthe streets and intothe workforce.

He saidthey too need to contribute tothe country developing economy particularly withthe coming multibillion kina LNG project and ther major infrastructural projects.

Mr. Malabagsaid his office will work closely withthe institute and its facilitator – FTRA a training and recruitment academy, to look for jobs for the graduates.
