NCD Residents to expect evacuations

The National Capital District Commission said it will do everything necessary to implement its projects, even if it means evacuating people and properties.

NCD Governor Powes Parkop’said those affected will be compensated.

Perks of development also come with its disadvantages.

The 700 million kina road infrastructure project for NCD has left city authorities no choice but to have residents and properties vacated to allow for the infrastructures to be built.

NCD Governor Powes Parkop made this clear in a media conference recently.

The Gordons industrial area and Erima are some areas ofthe city where major road infrastructures will be built.

Mr Parkop emphasized that development will go ahead, despitethe unfortunate circumstances.
