The Media Fraternity andthe Law & Justice Sector have lost a leader inthese fields, Joe Kanekane.
It is understood he suffered from massive heart attack and dlied while on leave at Tabubil inthe Western Province.
The news ofthe passing of Mr Kanekane was circulated throughthe Social Media Network , Facebook.
The late Joe Kanekane hailed from Kowengil village inthe Ialibu District of Southern Highlands Province. Mr Kanekane dlied suddenly inthe early hours of Monday morning.
A very learned man, he held various high positions includingthe President of Media Council andthe Director of Law and Justice Sector.
Asthe President ofthe Media Council, Mr Kanekane was a strong advocate for media freedom and an advocate against corruption. He was also instrumental inthe recent IBe Conclave, one where he called onthe media to identify loopholes in all sectors ofthe public services including education.
The funeral arrangements are being organised bythe Law & Justice Sector togther with family members.
