Road Safety gives to Police

A donation of four laptops to NCD Superintendent Commander Andy Bewa was made yesterday bythe Road Safety Council who has decided to help its line agency,the police.

Executive Director for the National Road safety Council Nelson Terema said althoughthe council doesn’t have that much funding it feltthe need to supportthe work of police.

Valued at K20, 000the laptops will be used for administrative purposes.

Mr Bewa who is in his 6th week in office asthe metropolitan superintendent for NCD saysthe donation is timely.

They line agencies saythey will work togther to combat crime inthe capital.

Meanwhile Mr Bewa says Auxillary and reserve police have been phased out. Anyone seen performing police duties will be charged for impersonating police.
