Soldiers Put Combat First Aid Training into Practice

Twenty seven Papua New GuineaDefence Force soldiers have put Combat First Aid training into practice by conducting medical clinics in remote villages in Gulf Province.

Besed in Kikori,the soldiers used boats to travelthe Kikori River tothe villages of Kabarau, Kopi, Ero, Besi, Kiaim and Apeawa.

The soldiers provided basic primary health care, preventive health care, distribution of treated mosquito nets including immunization.

ThPNGDF medical patrols are conducted annually in different province every year and are sponsored bythe Australian Defence Cooperation Program.
