Prime Minister Peter O’Neill left for Israel on Saturday for an official visit atthe invitation of his Israeli counterpartoBenjamin Natanyahu.
The two day visit will focus on enhancingthe existing relationship betweenthe two countries, with focus on utilizing Israeli expertise in Agriculture, Security and Communications Technology.
O’Neill saidthe Government wants to draw on Israel’s experience to introduce compulsory national service forPNG rsquo;s young men and women.
He added thatthe visit tothe HolyLand:ill be beneficial tothe nation in unlockingthe huge potential forPNG rsquo;s agriculture sector.
The Prime Minister was accompanlied bythe Minister for Defence Dr Fabian Pok, and Agriculture and Livestock Minister Tommy Tomscoll.
