Lae Netballers Prepare For Games

A young netball player in Lae is encouraging fellow netballers to commit more time and effort in their training in order to achieve the best results.

PNG Pepes’ Neritha Adula is leading a young and energetic Lae’side in training for the National Netball Championship and the PNG Games later this year.

Neritha Adula started playing netball when she was 9 years old and from then she has grown to be one of PNG's finest netball players.

She represented Lae in netball championships and moved up the representative ranks to be a member of the PNG Netball team, the Pepes.

The 22-year old Madang lass has what it takes to juggle schoolwork with her sporting career during international matches.

Neritha is currently training with the Lae’side in preparation for the National Netball Championships in Kimbe next month.

She is also training young and upcoming netball players in the lead up to the PNG Games in November.

The four-foot tall Pepes player plays wing defense in the mid-court; it’s a position she maintains in the PNG Pepes team.

She is a very strong player who is confident in all aspects of the game. Her commitment to training day in day out has made her one of the best mentors for upcoming netball players.

Neritha has been at the forefront of netball development and training leading up to the national tournaments.

Her character has helped her gain respect from the netball community in Lae.

With her services, the Lae’side and Team Morobe are aiming for gold in the national championships and PNG Games.
