PNG Rugby League called to raise standard

Rugby League playing centers in the country want to see the code of Rugby League rise up to its full potential.

Up to 90% of League bodies attended the recent meeting in Port Moresby with the Sport Minister to appoint Don Fox as the Interim President of the PNG Rugby Football League.

This was announced by the Sport Minister Justin Tkchanko in Kokopo at the end of a successful PNG Games event.

The Sport Minister says the Government does not need to get involved in the affairs of Rugby League; however they were left with little choice but to intervene.
