Women’s league names two training teams

Port Moresby Women’s Rugby League has named two training teams to play the curtain raiser to the Prime Minister’s 13 Rugby League match between PNG and Australia next month.

The women’s league has received much boosting from the PNG NRL BID in recent times and aim to raise the standard of the game among the womenfolk.

Two separate squads have been named with a fair composition to give the women a taste of representative league as they prepare to take the field prior to the annual PM’S XIII clash.

Both squads are made up of players from the five teams taking part in the Women’s league competition at the PRL Oval.

President Elise Siki says it is a great motivation for the women’s league to be given the opportunity to play the curtain raiser to such a high profile match between PNG and Australia.
