Tufi cup kicks-off

The Sir John Guise Stadium came alive with teams, fans, and supporters as the Tufi Cup Soccer Competition kick started on Sunday.

Executives gathered over the weekend to officially announce the program and handed over the cup to the last years’ winners.

Over 20 teams were confirmed to participate in the competition. Started in year 2000, Tufi cup has attracted a lot of players.

The aim of the competition is to bring communities together through sports.

As the reigning champion of the Southern region Soccer challenge, Tufi Soccer association is set to showcase new and exciting soccer actions on the field.

Such competition gives opportunity especially to youths to expose their talents and for them to develop their skills in preparation for the 2015 Pacific Games.
