Touch football PNG begins training for the 2013 Championships

Training for selected touch players and officials to the 2013 Niue Regional and Australian National Championships has started at the Sir John Guise stadium.

The Australian Championships will be held in Coffs Harbor and these two events are part of PNG Touch Federation’s preparations for 2015.

TFPNG has selected 4 teams to the Niue Championships which include a senior men’s team while the other 3 teams are the open men, women and mixed open teams.

TFPNG is also sending a strong team to the Australian National Championships, where the best state teams in Australia will take part.

Technical Director of TFPNG Joe Yore says the team will be tested on fitness, agility, strength, mental attitude and defensive capacities.

All players are asked to be at the Sir John Guise stadium by 4.30pm this afternoon for training.
