Tolukuma Polling

Despite disrupting at Tolukuma Gold mine over lack of development and environment damages polling has gone ahead as scheduled.

Employees say a ballot box was delivered to the site this morning by a New Zealand helicopter.

The skeletal staff on site have all cast their votes. However, a handful reported that they were not allowed to vote because their names were not on the roll. They argued that they had voted in the previous elections and blamed the Electoral Commission for failing to update the electoral commission for failing to update the roll properly to cater for everyone.

Meantime, locals also cast their votes in their respective LLGs, wards and villages.
