Catherine Avosa joined in the 1980s when it was then Post and Telecommunications. She said back then her work was done manually but since it became a corporation there have been a lot of new things which they have u00a0had to adjust.

She said her main challenge is to adapt to the new technologies that are being introduced at the international and local exchange switches.

Regional manager Network,John Warisaiho is also one of those long serving staff who has seen PNG telecommunications going from manual wirings to the current stage that is internet connectivity.

He said his job is very important because he looks after the national main distribution frame where all connections nationwide are linked up to.
