This was revealed by the Head of Research and Grower Services of the Coffee Industry Corporation (CIC) Limited Dr. Mark Kenny.
He said the CBB is present in the Indonesian border areas with PNG and when it enters PNG, it will have adverse effect on the PNG coffee industry.
But with the help of the national government and other stakeholders, the National Quarantine Inspection Authority and CIC are carrying out a joint delimiting survey in the border areas since 2008 to detect the beetle.
