In its 2nd year, Digicel has come on board to support the PNG Paralympics Committee with a cheque of K50 000.
The PNG Paralympics Committee got a boost from Digicel to assist Team PNG to the London Olympics in July and to the upcoming Summer Paralympic Games set for 29th August to the 9th of September.
With Digicel continuous support to sports in the country, a cheque was presented to the Paralympics Committee an additional K20 000 increase.
Paralympics Team Chef de Mission Dr. Kefu Ma appreciated the support and commended Digicel for its ongoing backing.
He said, they will not only represent PNG but also their sponsors.
Digicel’s operations Director Lorna McPherson said, Digicel is proud to have played a part in an unprecedented sporting achievement for PNG.
Digicel is proud to continue their support for the Committee’s participation and wish them luck in the upcoming games.
