Papua New Guinea Rugby Football League has announced a 15-man squad for the Pacific Games, next month.
The majority of the players are from the SP PNG Hunters starting line-up from the Intrust Super Cup season.
With Gahuna Silas and Rex Yallon from the Inter-City Cup.
With speed, strength and versatility as their main attributes, PNGRFL is confident the squad will reap the rewards come game time.
Hunters starting line-up, Stargroth Amean, Captain Israel Eliab, Wartovo Puara and Noel Zemming have been named in the 15-man squad. Alongside, utilities Willie Minoga, Thopmson Teteh and Adex Wera
Their performance in winning gold in the Commonwealth Youth Games in 2014 and consistent performances in the Intercity Cup, Gulf Isapeas, Gahuna Silas and Rex Yallon fron Enga Mioks have also been selected.
Hunters Head Coach Michael Marum, Strength and Conditioning Coach, Jasson Tassel will guide the team together with Solomon Kuluniasi as Team Manager.
The Games will be a stage for the 9s team to redeem their worth after beign defeated by the Fiji Batis earlier this year in the Four-Nations Qualifier.
