Pacific Games Organising committee sell 8,000 Tickets

Since the launching of the 2015 Pacific Games 11 days ago, 8,000 tickets have already been sold out.

The tickets running out fast are that of swimming Sport package and the opening ceremony, where over forty per cent of the seats have been purchased.

Limited seats for swimming will also be quickly moved to those who want to see Ryan Pini in his last Pacific Games, leading a resurgent Team PNG when they go against New Caledonia.

The public is giving a positive response in getting their tickets early, and has pleased the Games Organising Committee, the GOC’s Executive officer, Peter Stewart said, “the number of tickets sold so far within a short period of time signifies that people of PNG are excited about the event and want to be part of it.”

He also stated that they want to encourage others who are still deciding to get in fast so they will not be disappointed at the last minute.

There are 87 more days to go before the games, and the sale of tickets has the implication that we are games ready, said Stewart. He also added that the venues will be available in plenty of time for the games to be delivered.

Apart from the seventeen BSP branches selling the games tickets, the games organising committee will also be announcing other additional ticket outlets for tickets to be sold this Friday.
