Central Province Police Department Receive New Vehicle

Combating law and order problems at Laloki in the Central Province has been a difficult task. Over the years, the police station has struggled with limited resources. But the new vehicle received yesterday will ease this burden.

The vehicle was purchased under the District Support Improvement Program Funds (DISP Funds).

Kairuku – Hiri MP Peter Isoaimo said equipping the police to address law and order is one of his top priorities.

Laloki area has seen a steady rise in law and order problem’s with the spill over of the buai ban. Evicted setters moving in from the city are also adding to the problem.

Mr. Isoaimo is prepared to work with the police in the area to address these issues.

However, he urged local councilors and ward member in his electorate, to draw up community profiles and proposals outlining the main needs of the people like roads, water supply, health and education projects so funding will be released according to government processes.
