New Year’s Child Born

Teams came in force, anticipating to send off 2013 in style, while giving prominence to developing raw talent in Rugby League.

Six matches were played at Paramana village while the rest of the matches were held at Maopa, just a village away from Paramana.

Family and friends who came for their Christmas holiday were treated to a feast of footy action.

Unlike any other day, the Aroma Coast community embraced the moment, having fun on the field while mothers made sure there was plenty to eat and drink after the games.

The match between Anoina Naviu and Vevili was the one not be missed.

The match ignited cheers from fans and supporters who flocked the venue.

Having raw talent on both teams, increased the teams’ potential to put their skills on trial and may eventually find themselves spots in the much enjoyed and watched, Digicel Cup competition.

The boys in maroon worked around the field, moving into Vevili’s territory.

While Vevilis were banking on their forwards, to no avail. They succumbed, 6 points to 4 at the final hooter.
