Telefomin MP, Solan Mirisim, said the development challenges for his district are far greater but he is determined to deliver despite the challenges.
Mirisim who flew into his remote district on Monday, said delivering services to Telefomin is a difficult task, given the geographical location of the district.
The MP was in Yapsi LLG, where he commissioned and launched a walkabout sawmill and a solar powered IT and communication equipment for the remote Wauru Community.
He said these projects are part of his development strategy where he believes the walkabout sawmill will empower the community to build proper health clinics, classrooms and also their own private homes.
The Telefomin High School will also receive K5million worth of infrastructure development this year.
Mr Mirisim said funds have already been allocated from the district’s 2016 DSIP budget and will be released after March.
