Kempo Instructor in New Ireland Province

Steven Tommy was presented a certificate today by Master Jamuga Stone for carrying out Martial Arts and Taekwondo training in New Ireland Province. The event was witnessed by member for Namatanai, Byron Chan.

Steven Tommy, a well-respected fighter in his home province of New Ireland and in Port Moresby will be the first Kempo instructor in New Ireland.

Steven represented the country during the 2015 Pacific Games and has been an inspiration to young martial artists in his area.  Member for Namatanai, Byron Chan ensured Master Stone that the growth and participation will increase over the years.

There are also plans of New Ireland hosting Provincial competitions in the area. New Ireland will be affiliating their existing clubs with Master Stone’s and come up with a restructure to adopt the Taekwondo syllabus.
