Marum Makes Final Changes

By Elijah Lavett – EM TV Sport, Port Moresby

Michael Marum had to make final changes to his starting team line-up, ahead of their biggest clash yet against the Townsville Blackhawks at the National Football Stadium on Sunday.

Hunters Prop, Henry Wan, won’t be available for the match on Sunday due to personal reasons, and Marum has settled on having prop, Timothy Lomai, included in the 17-man squad for his first match of the season.

Whilst it’s not confirmed yet, Adam Korave, may likely get the call-up to a starting role at lock, and Brandy Peter be shifted with Esau Siune up front.

Marum has been working closely on defence during training, and says the team will have to perform, despite the immense pressure from the home crowd.

Justin Olam, who missed last weekend’s match due his graduation at the University of Technology, was surprised to be named in this weekend’s team.

The previous home match against the Tweed Head Seagulls kicked off late on a cool late afternoon, this weekend’s match will kick off at 3pm, Marum confirmed that the team’s fitness is on par and playing at 3pm will not exhaust the boys.
