PNG POWER TO CARRY OUT MASS DISCONNECTION

PNG Power Ltd recently announced that from July to December 31st, 2024, it will carry out a Nationwide Disconnection Exercise.

It is highlighted that Credit meter customers who have outstanding electricity bills will be disconnected and reconnection of supply will only be done upon full payment of outstanding debts owed.

PNG Power Ltd strongly advised that any customer found to have illegal connection will have their supply permanently disconnected with pole fuse and lines removed until all back-billing charges, penalty fees and new connection charges are paid in full.

They warned also that anyone caught stealing power will be charged under The Criminal Code Act

Customers were urged to go to the nearest PNG Power Office to settle their payments and will be issued an official PPL receipt.

PNG Power stressed that it will not take responsibility for payments made to anyone outside of PNG Power or customers who do not have an official PNG Power receipt.
