The National Baptist Women’s Conference that was held in Lae last week at the Bugandi Secondary School has ended.

This was the 12th National Conference that was attended by over one thousand Baptist women around PNG.

They meet after every three years for their executives to present reports and for the Baptist women to appoint their new office bearers.

Over one thousand women from the Baptists Church in PNG met in Lae at the Bugandi Secondary School for a one-week conference.

The women came from some remote areas in the Highlands, Southern, and Momase Region.

The National Baptist Women Conference is held every three years and this is the 12th Conference.

The theme of the conference was ‘moving into greater heights’.

PNG’s Baptist Women Vice President, Maria Ketan, said the purpose of the conference was to unite women in the Baptist Church and share God’s word and also appoint new executives for the Association.

The main speakers during the conference were the President of the South West Pacific Baptists Women’s Association (BWA) and PNG’s BWA President and Treasurer.

The conference began on the 17th of this month and ended yesterday.
