The National Airport Corporation of PNG has renewed its partnership with Rockwell Collins ARINC Airport Solutions to further its 2030 mission of 15 smart airports across the country.
Rockwell Collins, an industry leader in airport solutions, will provide Jacksons International Airport with state-of-the arts passenger processing solutions and flight information display systems. New self-check-in kiosks and baggage drop-offs will also be installed in the coming months. This service will be rolled out to other regional airports of the country in the coming years.
NAC Managing Director and CEO, Richard Yopo said, “Our work with Rockwell Collins dates back five years. Their proven expertise and depth of experience working with airports of all sizes across Asia was a key factor in our selection decision.”
The NAC owns and operates 22 national airports in PNG. Jacksons International (PMIA) is the country’s main hub. The renewed partnership will also provide support to the much-awaited Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Leaders’ summit, later this year by increasing security measures at the international terminal.
In addition to the renewal, Rockwell Collins will provide NAC with a local departure control systems and baggage reconciliation solutions.
