7th PNG Games set for November

After being deferred twice already, the 7th BSP PNG Games is set to commence on the 18th of November 2017.

This was confirmed by Sports Foundation CEO, Peter Tsiamalili Jr, and Sports Vice Minister, Wesley Raminai.

“We are happy to announce that the Games will start on 18th November,” Tsiamalili Jr told the crowd.

Despite the deferrals, Kumul Telikom, as a sponsor has been working with the Games Host Organising Committee, to put in place technical infrastructure to allow the games to be relayed throughout the country.

Today, Kumul Telikom officially announced its support for the PNG Games, valued at over K1 million.

“We are proud to support this National Event to bring together talents,” said Xavier Victor, the Acting CEO of Telikom PNG.

In spite of the challenges, the Host Organising Committee were commended for taking steps to ensure the games would be held next month.

“We are grateful of the support,” said Reuben Kautu, Chairman of the Organising Committee.

Kumul Telikom Subsidiary, EMTV, is the Official Broadcaster for the 7th BSP PNG Games.

The games will also be relayed through FM100 and BMobile through Telikom’s 4G network.
